Bacon Chocolate Bark



Indulge in the sweet and savory combination of crispy bacon, rich semisweet chocolate, crunchy almonds, and tart dried cranberries in this delightful bacon chocolate bark. It's the perfect treat for bacon and chocolate lovers alike!

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of thick-cut bacon
  • 12 ounces of semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup of chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup of dried cranberries
  • 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt flakes

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375F 190C

Place the bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Bake the bacon in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until it becomes crispy

Remove from the oven and let it cool

Once the bacon has cooled, chop it into small pieces

In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the semisweet chocolate chips until smooth and creamy

Stir half of the chopped bacon pieces into the melted chocolate

Line another baking sheet with parchment paper and pour the melted chocolate mixture onto it, spreading it evenly with a spatula

Sprinkle the remaining chopped bacon, chopped almonds, dried cranberries, and sea salt flakes evenly over the melted chocolate

Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 1 hour or until the chocolate hardens

Once the chocolate has hardened, break it into pieces to create your bacon chocolate bark

Add pepper and salt

After the oven is hot, bake the chicken for 25 to 30 minutes, or until it is fully cooked and the juices run clear

Mango-Tiramisu Parfait

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed Cantuccini cookies
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

Instructions:

Using a blender, blend one mango until it is smooth

Put away

Whip the heavy cream in a large bowl until stiff peaks form

Mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract should be mixed together in a different bowl until they are smooth

Mix the mascarpone and whipped cream together slowly until everything is well mixed

Put crushed Cantuccini cookies, mango puree, and the cream mixture in the parfait glasses in that order

Add more layers until the glasses are full, and then put a dollop of the cream mixture on top to finish

Add cocoa powder to the top of each parfait

Put it in the fridge for at least two hours before you serve it

If you want, you can add diced mango as a garnish before serving

  • 2 cups raw cashews, soaked overnight

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

Pulse the hazelnuts in a food processor until they are very small

Pulse in the dates until a sticky dough forms

Press the hazelnut-date mix into the bottom of a springform pan that has been lined with parchment paper to make the crust

Put in the freezer while you make the filling

Soaked cashews, maple syrup, melted coconut oil, cacao powder, espresso, vanilla extract, and salt should all be put into a blender

Mix until it's creamy and smooth

Place the crust in the springform pan and then pour the chocolate espresso filling on top of it

Use a spatula to make the top smooth

Freeze the torte for at least 4 hours or overnight to set

Let the torte thaw a bit at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes before serving

If you want, you can add more toasted hazelnuts as a garnish

Cut it up and serve it cold

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb dried split peas, rinsed and sorted
  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 1 ham hock or smoked turkey leg
  • 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup water

Instructions:

Place split peas, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, ham hock or turkey leg, broth, thyme, rosemary, salt, pepper, and bay leaves in the Instant Pot

Add 1 cup of water to the pot

Secure the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to the sealing position

Cook on high pressure for 15 minutes

Allow for a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then carefully switch the valve to the venting position to release any remaining pressure

Once the pressure is fully released, open the Instant Pot lid and remove the ham hock or turkey leg

Use an immersion blender to blend the soup until smooth, or leave it chunky if desired

Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed

Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired

In Skillet Chicken Cordon Bleu, soft chicken breasts are stuffed with ham and Swiss cheese and then covered in a creamy Dijon sauce. This is a delicious take on the classic recipe. This dish is great for a fancy dinner or when you want to show off to guests!

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375F 190C

Place each chicken breast between two sheets of parchment paper or plastic wrap and pound to an even thickness, about 1/2-inch thick

Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper

Lay 2 slices of ham and 1 slice of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast

Roll up the chicken, enclosing the filling, and secure with toothpicks

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat

Add chicken rolls to the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side

Transfer skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through

Remove chicken from skillet and transfer to a plate, covering with foil to keep warm

In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat
